29th August 2020 Golden Wedding Anniversary

 Fifty Years ago today
Sharon taught me how to play.
As we walked down the Isle
God made us smile,
As he joined us both together,
Forever and a While.

We caught the train to Weymouth
For our Special Honey-Moon,
And in just a few days
It was Over Too Soon.

Back to seperate lives
Til our first flat started Life.
As a Father and a Husband
To our new Son and My Wife.

We SHOUTED! and we Argued,
Threw tomatoes, cups of tea.
But life down by the River
Was Heaven for Sharon and Me.

Fifty Years ago Today,
Sharon taught Me how to Play.
Soul-Mates to our Final Breath.
Til God calls Me at My Death!

Saturday the 29th of August 1970.
The day I remember,
As a Gift and a Blessing,
For Ever and Ever!
